“ I have ordered here a few times and the food hasn't seem to disappoint in flavor. However, was a bit disappointed when I got home to see my pretzel cheesesteak was a regular cheesesteak. I'm sure they would have fixed it if i called but it's a little bit of a drive so we just kept it. Their meat is tender and flavorful. Accuracy is just as important as taste. I will just make sure to double check my order next time before leaving. My husband said the place looklooked good and the staff was friendly. ”
“ My son was home visiting and asked for a cheesesteak. I got on Google maps and found Jay's Joint. I'm telling you, I've passed this place 1,000 times and really thought it was just an ice cream spot. Man was I wrong!!!! He ordered a cheesesteak with fried onion and cooper sharp (he was about to get American, but I convinced him to try the cooper sharp). I ordered a cheesesteak box with fried onions, mushrooms, sweet peppers, hot pepper relish, and that wonderful cooper sharp cheese. The 'box' comes with either fries or hand cut chips...I got the chips. 1st, they use rib eye, not mystery meat, not steak umm. 2nd, I can't even begin to explain how fresh the roll is. I could eaten that all by itself. So many places try to make a good steak...Jay's makes an AMAZING steak! The food and service get a 2800 out of 10 for me!!! I don't know the young lady's name that was at the window, but she was very friendly and personable. I found my new steak spot yall!! ”

I ordered by calling in and my food was done in less than 10 minutes. Ordered the south Philly and jay's favorite cheesesteak both on pretzel rolls and whiz cheese and they were so good. I enjoyed the jay's favorite more than the south Philly, it was more flavorful and spicy as well. Also got a side order of curly fries with it too. The restaurant is all set up in a neighborhood and they do have outdoor seating. I highly recommend coming here for cheesesteaks. ”

Ordered the famous beer dip cheesesteak and it was probably the best cheesesteak I've had in Philly so far. You place the order and they text you when it's ready to pickup. Great experience and will add this place to my list of eateries to stop at on my way to Philly. ”
